END: the DJ Top Industrial Club Music Picks of 2016

These selections are the ones which have been played out in clubs and broadcast on radio worldwide and have garnered the most acclaim directly from music lovers and fans everywhere, from the dance floor to online social media. Ranging in a wide array of alternative electronic dance genres from Synthpop to Synthwave, Industrial Club music, Electropop to EBM. These are the top picks of 2016!

Best Music Labels of 2016:

Negative Gain Productions
What a fantastic year for NGP and an amazing roster of artists that have been highlighted this year- with Kanga, Strvngers, The Rain Within and more, this label has become the one whose releases I highly anticipate for the upcoming year!

skyQode
This RU label has shown tremendous growth and development in 2016, both with their current and developing roster.

Blind Mice Productions
Pete Crane’s [of Shiv-r] digital label from Australia, with a musically & artistic diverse roster from around the globe. Can’t wait to see what BMP does for the new year!

Best Music Albums of 2016:

Diorama - 'Zero Soldier Army'
The return of Diorama in such a major way. This release is a monster, each track given such meticulous work & care in every level of production, each track is amazing.

Kanga - 'Kanga'
Best premiere of a new artist I’ve heard in quite some time, with well polished mixing & mastering work by Rhys Fulber & Greg Reely (Front Line Assembly) and one of the stellar releases mentioned on the Negative Gain Productions label. If you haven’t taken a listen to this entire album yet I highly suggest you don’t wait!

Schuber - 'The Me I See'
The keyboardist of Project Pitchfork’s solo album and it’s one of the strong releases that snuck up on me, it’s amazing how strong, thoughtful and catchy this entire album is even after repeat. This seems to be a very autobiographical album somehow, the chords struck seem personal and very meaningful.

Terrolokaust - 'Dissensions'
With each new release Terrolokaust’s sound & production work are honed & sharpened to such a degree it’s astounding. The latest project album Dissensions hits like the equivalent of a major label’s flagship release, showcasing the best of todays alternative electronic, Electro-Rock and EBM mixture. Love this one!

Best Songs of 2016:

I couldn’t be more in awe of how much great new music was released this year. END: the DJ's Top Club Music Picks May 2014

From the most decorated night clubs with full on deco, lighting and lasers to the darkest underground dance floors, these new tracks are smoking up playlists and catching everyone’s attention. Some of these tracks are new, some yet to be released hence only the links to their labels or main website. Keep up with these releases and stay on the edge! Read on:

Front Line Assembly- 'Next War' - Metropolis Records
From the latest remix album Echoes- is another masterpiece of a new original FLA track. The lyrics are incredible and the beat perfectly matches up. Love the breaks in this track, and you’ll love the remixes on the entire album featuring work by Rhys Fulber, Blush Response and many more. Put this one on repeat listening!

Hardom- 'La Rebelion (Feyser Remix)'- Rawhard Audio Records
This one thumps hard, like a stomp-inducing track with a slight noise touch that stole away with some breakbeat and dark-tech. I’m loving all that Rawhard Audio has been releasing and this “La Tormenta” EP from Hardom is no exception. Just listen to this remix (also love Loso’s remix of the title track) and it’s an instant keeper.

Energun- 'Black Quarks (Daegon Remix)'- Rawhard Audio Records
More Rawhard awesomeness. This remix on the Black Quarks EP release from Energun is hard and heavy. Dark tech, a touch of noise and a small reminder of a more mechanic EBM sound.

Division 4- 'Silent Talking'- Green Mono Records
Green Mono’s the other fantastic label I’ve been fortunate to come across in 2014; each track release seem as progressive anthems and are a staple of today’s club sound. The bass and flow of this track is so smooth and melodic, it instantly catches anyone looking to move on the dance floor. Look this one up, you’ll be happier for it.

A.E.C.- 'Pain'- Solid Grey Sky Recordings
A nicely done track from a great project by Tyler Newman of Informatik and Battery Cage. Love the production work plus the male and female vocal styles. You’ll find this one on the new album release “Sex.Drugs.Sequence”. Keep your ears open for this one.

Javi Santana- 'Cat Zombie'- Supermarket Records
From the Spain label we have a hard-hitting track that keeps a pretty edgy and punchy bass rhythm that kept me interested in the first few seconds. Supermarket’s known for dance heavy tracks- this one has some of their best rhythm work yet this year.

Kryonix- 'Face Your Fears'- [self-release]
I was fortunate to have Kryonix give me a heads-up on this fantastic harsh-EBM mover; I’d be amazed if this track wasn’t picking up everyone’s attention in the months ahead. Looking forward to future works that Kryonix will have to offer after this one.

Consumer Junk- 'Pushed'- [self-release]
From the “Gruftibahn 11” album which has a lot of well-done tracks, “Pushed” is but one of a number of diverse works that make the entire release stand out. Should be making some waves in Europe and internationally.

A Spell Inside- 'Frei Sein'- Dark Dimensions Label Group
This new single from ASI is solid from the intro to the very first beat. Very powerful, almost an anthem of a track. Looking forward to hearing more new work!

Quantum Shift- 'Fountain (Orlese Remix)'- Green Mono Records
Yes, yet another Green Mono label production done with expertise. Very well-textured and the melody stays with you. As the lyrics say, it “picks you up and sets you free”.

Peter Groskreutz- 'Dust'- Login Records
Login Records keeps up the great minimal tech releases and yet this one has a more beat-driven flair and keeps you from standing still. The other tracks on the “Dust” EP release are also top-notch but I’m loving the title track.

Beat Tempest- 'Beach In Winter'- C-Clone Records
This one is an energy driver, relentless and unforgiving. I love how it constantly connects in such a hard way. Another great one this year from Beat Tempest.

END: the DJ’s Top New Club Music Picks April 2014

Much variety of new music that’s been in heavy rotation this past month on club floors! Let’s get to it:

Dimensional Explosion- 'Stay to Attention'
This brand new track by Andre V’s project from Germany is quickly becoming one of my favourites of the year. This has an amazing flow while remaining loud and noisy!

Stahlnebel & Black Selket feat. END: the DJ- 'Dead Enough for Life'- Advoxya Records
Stahlnebel & Black Selket (with some END fella, I dunno) pay homage to Icon Of Coil and Sebastian Komor’s production work with this great interpretation of one of IOC’s classic tracks. I was blown away at how amazing the track came together. Check this one out on the club floor!

Primal Beat- 'Liberate My Madness'- Rawhard Audio Records
Yes. Check out this track and listen to why Primal Beat lives up to the name. This is a spectacular builder, the louder the sound system the more fantastic this track drives you to move.

Leaether Strip- 'Hold Your Fire'
Claus Larsen is a living legend of EBM and dark dance music. His latest Leaether Strip release Aescapism has a number of new outstanding tracks to the massive catalogue. You’ll love this one!

THYX- 'Waiting For You'- Metropolis Records
Fans of mind.in.a.box- hell, if you just simply love finely produced music- should love the new album from THYX. This is but one of the great selections from this release.

Dolgenar- 'Tonic (LOSO Recharged Mix)'- Rawhard Audio Records
I love the solid beat to this remix, which has me looking for LOSO’s other work. Check out the new Dolgenar release and you may find more tracks to move to.

Crytone- 'Abandoned'- Login Records
Dark, atmospheric with almost eerie and melodic undertones. This is a signature Login release that everyone should be checking out.

Mental Discipline- 'Butterfly (Unity One Remix)'- Skyqode
Skyqode’s high quality of great music releases a new Mental Discipline EP release around the ‘Butterfly’ track. This is a great remix by Unity One. Fantastic Synthpop!

BhamBhamHara- 'Kreislauf (Straftanz Remix)'- Dark Dimensions Label Group
Quite a shame Straftanz has called it quits, cause this remix of a new BhamBhamHara track reminds you how great the work has been. Dark Dimensions has another mover on their hands and it has quite the energy.

Wumpscut- 'Cross of Iron (Iszoloscope Remix)'- BKM
Quite a remix in a most unlikely pairing, Iszoloscope over a Wumpscut track. Check out the new DJ Dwarf 14 EP release for new reworks on :W: tracks.

END: the DJ’s Top New Club Music Picks March 2014
A fine collection of great newly released and upcoming music for the month of March, showing a variety of styles in quality music and artists. Check them out as soon as possible and keep on repeat:

Kids Electronics- Civilization- Green Mono Music
Damn, but Green Mono’s a fantastic electronic dance label with amazing releases hit after hit. This latest one has amazing textured work and is very moving. It is a progressive, almost synthy masterpiece. Also check out the “Go Go Go” track on this single release.

Seabound- For Another Day- Metropolis Records
From the new release Speak in Storms. Seabound is back in a major way! This is one of the few top-notch tracks in this very artistic album.

Stoppenberg- Psychokinesis- [self-release]
The new EDM project from Jan aka Noisuf-X and X-Fusion, and as ever an amazing sound. The challenge is NOT to move to this track. Amazing work!

Ben Orsound- Intra- Green Mono Music
Like I’ve stated, Green Mono Music has been treating music lovers with quality work these past handful of months, with solid producers who put great passion into their production work. This single release from Orsound is no exception. Very, very moving and club friendly!

Roppongi Inc. Project- Moskau Leipzig (Amduscia Remix)- Roaring Disc Records
I’ve been a supporter of the great club tracks from R.I.P. for a few years now- and it’s with great enthusiasm I find the project’s new Schnarch Suite EP fantastic from start to finish. This is but one of the great new original tracks and remixes. Don’t miss out!

Blac Kolor- Whore- Basic Unit Productions
One of the banging new tracks on the new Wide Noise debut album. A great driving beat to keep bodies moving.

And One- Bad Girl- Deutschmaschine
This track- one of the few new And One new releases to tease a trilogy of new albums (yes, three of them)- should make all clabbers everywhere update their ‘And One tracks on repeat’ library. Very good, very catchy, very And One  ;)

Cryo- In Your Eyes- Progress Productions
One of the few great tracks from Cryo’s Retropia album. The driving beats matches the great vocal work. A pleasant new find and a great body of work.

Lyronian- Silver Arrow- Deep Symmetry Records
Great beat and quality production work- the vocals & chorus are quite catchy. Check out the singles release with its great remixes by Orange Sector and Ashcraft.

The Peoples Republic of Europe- Brute Force- Noisj
From TPROE’s new release Red Line. This EP release is more hardcore in essence than many of the project’s recent output; this track is explosive at high volume.

Johnathan|Christian- I Walk This Earth Alone (Leaether Srip Mix)- [self-release]
Great remix from LS and a great beat to stomp to. The new sound has quite an anthem feel.

Halo Effect- 'The Big Lie (DYM Remix)' - EK Product
The new Code Mixing - Recoding Remix double album from Halo Effect is quite the endeavour. There are so many top-notch remixes that it’s almost impossible to pick just one track yet this DYM remix slams, showing the project’s expertise in production- a great hard beat.

Armando Biz- 'Sometimes Moscow Sleeps' - Green Mono Records
Another powerful anthem from Green Mono Records. 7 minutes of awesomeness, I can’t get this track off of repeat play, it’s flawless.

Dimensional Explosion- 'Psycho Terror' - [unsigned]
Last month I reported on the new music being that was a released last year from Dimensional Explosion (formerly E.I.D)- then this month I was hit with his first track from the new year, once again setting a standard for noisy melodic experimental music. Fantastic!

Amnistia- 'Catch Me' - Dark Dimensions Label Group
Great EBM/Body Wave track from Amnistia’s 4th album Antiversus. Has a great flow and gets the floor moving and stomping. Everything meshes well here, from the vocals to the beat.

Orlese- 'Mash Up the Fun' - Green Mono Records
This track’s heavy build and thundering bass line with a touch of deep ambient in the breaks is a masterpiece. Also don’t mix the amazing Kids Electronics Remix in this single release. Green Mono’s high output of quality music continues for 2014.

Terrorkode- 'Fucktard' - Deathwatch Asia
New Terrorkode music to assault the ear holes. This unrelenting mover from the new Frequency Overload album is a must for everyone.

Beat Tempest- 'Fingers in the Duck' - C Clone Records
Beat Tempest returns with a hard hitting track. Great beat, fantastic breakdown. This track guarantees to sway bodies.

Epinephrin- 'Sanduhr' - Dark Dimensions Label Group
Epinephrin is Pascal Beniesch ([x]-Rx)’s first music project. This track from the new Alles auf Anfang album has such catchy club rhythms and melody. This is but one of the many tracks from the new release that will fill the dance floor.

Stahlnebel & Black Selket- 'Echo' - Advoxya Records
The powerhouse EBM duo from Germany & the Netherlands hits us with another beast of a track. Lace up the stomping boots for this one.

God Module- 'The Mark' - Metropolis Records
Best track on the False Face album, this is the highlight of the new release. A really vicious track.

Blue Sense- 'Discovery Constellation' - Blue Sense Recordings
Blue Sense from the Netherlands never disappoints when he gets fast and heavy with his music work. This track’s rolling bass line and the mid break will astound you. Simply stated, it’s a slamming track.

END: the DJ's Top Music Picks- January 2014

END: the DJ’s Top New Music Picks January 2014

There’s been some fantastic club tracks in a variety of electronic music styles that’s coming up on the horizon to kick off a fantastic new year of music. Let’s take a look:

Cristian Myt - 'Kurte Tu Fantasy' - Login Records
Each time I hear this ‘True to Nature’ EP, my favourite track changes, it’s THAT much of a solid piece of work- so ask me if this track is the best tomorrow, I might name you one of the other four. The low beats are haunting yet heavy, the melody is clubby yet melodic. It is straight up dark techno with hardcore elements. Login Records has hit us with the first awesome release of the year!

Dimensional Explosion - 'Phonophobia' - [unsigned]
This would be the best track of the month overall if it wasn’t new to me and to those who follow Andre W. aka E.I.D (his former project). Andre has been cultivating Dimensional Explosion this past year and it’s time everyone finally get to hear what he’s been up to- and as always, I’m champion his work; a ‘crunchy’ yet melodic noise sound at its experimental finest. It’s INSANE that this project is unsigned. This should change very soon!

Claes Rosen - 'Starlight' (Blood Groove & Kikis Remix) - Green Mono Music
When the newly released compilation from the Green Mono label was sent to me, I was honestly a tad bit skeptical. Though I appreciate all styles of club music, as a personal listener I had become very weary of some of the direction variations of progressive & other more lighter styles music had gone some years ago. Much of it became a bit too pop-formulated for my taste. More hooks, less depth; yet here was some new music presented to me, I had to check it out…and am very satisfied with what was thumping out of my speakers. This track has the kind of depth & substance I’ve missed out of these more rhythmic styles of EDM. Thanks for bringing me back, G.M.M.!

Blak Opz - 'Long Live the New Flesh' - DWA
This track hits you in the fkn face. Love this. It’s a progression of the harsh EBM sound: I wasn’t sure if the style had any more methods to throw at us and then Blak Opz shows us the way. Throw this on a dance floor and watch everyone go crazy.

Dan’iel - 'The Music' - Conzoom Records
Great synth pop track, the melody and vocals are very moving and textured. All of the tracks from “The Book” album should be heard.

Orquesm - 'Dikke Pret' - Login Records
The Login label charts again in the top picks with this track off the new Stampot EP from Orquesm. Certain tracks can hit the clubs like a sonic wave and roll over you- this one doesn’t disappoint!

Doc Trashz - 'Brainwashing' - Trashz Recordz
Known for some of the best new dirty and glitchy Electro sound, Trashz Recordz has been a steady source of music to break ya neck to for a little while now. Doc Trashz, the label’s founder, releases his own monster of a track and it is beat driven! Not meant for tiny speakers or ear buds or you miss some of the intricate work that went into this one.

Ben'Yala - 'From Citta To Neapolis' - ETT Recordings
ETT Recordings storms out the gate this new year with this driving massive track. You’ll love the way this builds towards the break and then holds you to the club floor. Loving this one.

[product] - 'The Blind' (iVardensphere Remix) - Vendetta Music
Somehow iVardensphere found the time while creating his new album to put his signature stamp on a new track from [product]’s new album. I would say iVS has to sleep sometime, yet you wouldn’t know it from the great production work on this remix. Compliments [product]’s sound nicely!

Flatline - 'Your Love' - Compactonez Records
Flatline’s new album hit in late December and this standout track has garnered its own official video (now up on YouTube) which helps even more to spotlight on the great work on this track. A very driven track and great vocals & lyrics. Great new EBM mover!

That’s not all. Check out these other noteworthy releases to move to:

Novikoff - 'Addictive' (DJ Generous Remix) - Green Mono Music
Another track from G.M.M.’s recently released compilation. The flow on this track is addictive, I couldn’t stop moving even while trying to sit still. Great remix on this one.

Mark Bester feat. Love Dimension - 'Love Is Good' - ETT Recordings
ETT continues its label dominance by releasing another awesome track to the masses. The label seems to know the talent they seem to have in Love Dimension’s vocals, which wrap smoothly around the production work of this track by Mark Bester. Yet another high quality ETT club track!

Groovetonic - 'Boom Chacka' (Leon Blaq Remix) - Supermarket Records
This is a driving floor filler from the Supermarket. Love the build up!

Prismism - 'Numbers' - Trashz Recordz
One of the dirtiest, robotic electro tracks I’ve heard in a while! The beats on this seriously kick.

Essonita feat. Love Dimension - 'All We Need' (Denis Sender Remix) - ETM Recordings
ETM, sister label of ETT, takes the talented vocals of Love Dimension to more heights with this deeply moving track.

Keep those bodies moving, check out these great new tracks and we'll touch base again soon!  ;)
